I would just like to mention a well done to Merryl Dennis for winning
lady of the match and an even bigger well done to Merryl Jarman for
gaining the lady of the weekend accolade. It is brilliant that we have
two players with such ability. |

That was a tough weekend of darts. Credit to Northamptonshire who, as
I said before the match, were scrapping for every point to survive in
Div 3.
That said there were some great performances from both our men and our
women to ensure we ran out worthy winners overall.
Special praise from me goes to Hodgey, Jane, Ginger, Hunty and Milly
on Saturday. Plus Lee, Christine, Six Toes, Haggis, Candy, Merryl and
Tricky on Sunday.
All of whom won very important games for differing reasons. |

Just a word of caution to everyone on the eve of our very important
match with Northant's.
Those of us who have been playing for some time will be fully aware
that when it comes to county darts there are no guarantees. All be it
for a completely different reason our opponents will be scrapping for
every point.
We cannot afford to be complacent and expect them just to roll over.
Confidence is the key, we need take our chances when they arise, to
keep our run going. Good luck to all. Trev. |
